Deine.ART 2.0

Promoting social participation through creative activities - this is what Caritas and specialist associations in the Archdiocese of Cologne are doing in the “Deine.ART 2.0” project.

The AMIF-funded project “Deine.ART 2.0” supports the participation of immigrants, especially women, in cultural life and strengthens cultural diversity in society. The cooperation project “Deine.ART 2.0” builds on the experience gained from the previous project “Deine.ART: Art and Culture for Integration”. Successful approaches from the project are being continued and further developed. The aim of the project is to strengthen the self-confidence and social integration of the participants.

At six project locations within the Archdiocese of Cologne, third-country nationals are integrated into their local communities through artistic and creative activities. Approximately 60 initiatives, varying in duration and frequency, are offered at the participating sites. These include knowledge cafés, relaxation programs, joint museum visits, and language workshops. Participants can explore their artistic talents in photography workshops, sewing courses, and painting studios, or take the lead in their own activities through the mobile art workshop. Special emphasis is placed on supporting women from third countries with innovative, creative methods and accessible educational opportunities. A prominent presentation of the project outcomes helps third-country nationals actively engage in social discourse and highlights the value of a diverse society to the broader public.
